You’ve been lied to about personal branding…

Everyone says personal branding is the key to success.

But most people are doing it completely wrong.

Why?

Because they believe in myths that keep them stuck.

These myths sound logical.

Even smart.

But they’re killing your growth.

The Real Reason Brands Fail:

Let’s be real: most personal brand “advice” is garbage.

It’s built on outdated tactics that don’t work in 2025.

If you follow these common myths, you’re setting yourself up to fail.

You’ll spend months (years even) trying to crack the code.

Only to realize you’ve been playing the game all wrong.

And the worst part?

Someone else, with half your talent, will pass you up.

Because they know the truth.

They know how the game is played.

“Post every day or you won’t grow.”

This is typical advice given to people who start.

Sounds good in theory.

But it’s not how you win.

What you need is a clear message.

Posting daily without a clear message is just noise.

You don’t need more posts—you need better positioning.

People follow people that have a strong, clear message.

Being consistent isn't enough.

Don't post for the sake of it.

Post with strategy.

It's a game of impact, not volume.

“More followers = more money.”

10,000 low quality followers won’t help you.

100 engaged ones will change your life.

Personal branding isn’t about popularity.

It’s about building trust with the right people.

You don’t need everyone to know you.

You need the right people to see you as the solution.

Focus on influence & not just audience size.

“Give value and they will buy.”

I am one that always preaches to give value.

Unfortunately, value will never be enough.

Why?

Because everyone gives value these days.

People buy because they see you as the answer.

If you never talk about what you sell, no one will buy it.

Educating your audience is fine.

But you need to sell as well.

Authority comes from solving real problems, not free tips.

Position yourself as the go-to.

Become more than just a content machine.

“Go viral and you’ll be set.”

There's nothing wrong with going viral.

But you shouldn't rely on it to build your persoanl brand.

It's a sugar rush & it fades fast.

One viral post won’t build a lasting business.

If your content doesn’t attract the right audience, it’s useless.

The goal isn’t to go viral.

The goal is to become unforgettable.

Build a brand that stands even when the algorithms shift.

Focus on depth, not just reach.

Going viral means nothing without a strategy behind it.

“You have to be an expert first.”

No one starts as an expert.

You don’t need permission to share what you know.

Your audience wants someone they can relate to, not a guru.

People follow those who are a few steps ahead.

That means everything you do doesn't need to be perfect.

Document your journey, share your lessons, build in public.

Your experience is valuable, even if you’re still learning.

Even the experts you look uo to are still learning.

Start before you feel ready.

“Your content should be about you.”

No one cares about you.

At least not until they know you can help them.

Your content should be about their pain.

Talk about their:

  • Desires
  • Struggles
  • Problems

Position yourself as the guide, not the hero.

The best personal brands are more relevant and relatible than anything,

Speak directly to the audience you want to attract.

Make it about them first.

Then, they’ll care about you.

Most people fail at building a brand because they believe these myths.

And those myths keep them stuck.

When you apply real strategies that work, you win.
