Most creators post.
Few actually stand out.
And even fewer get remembered.
The secret?
They found their voice.
This was one of the harder parts of my journey.
When I first started writing online, nobody cared.
I had smart ideas. Clear points. But no traction.
Then I stopped trying to sound like everyone else and started sounding like me.
I was able to build my brand and my following...
Not by posting more but by finding my edge.
This isn’t about going viral.
It’s about becoming known.
- Known for a tone.
- Known for a perspective.
- Known for showing up real.
Once your voice clicks:
Your content starts to pull instead of push.
People connect, engage, and convert without pressure.
Instead of being just noise, you become a signal.
Here's the problem...
Most gurus will tell you to copy.
Recycling quotes.
Mimicing styles.
Stealing frameworks.
Not because they’re lazy but because they think that’s what works.
Hate to break this to you but...
Your audience doesn’t want another version of “them.”
They want someone real.
And if you’re not showing you, you’ll always blend in.
If they don’t remember you, they don’t trust you.
If they don’t trust you, they don’t buy.
You can’t fake connection.
But you can build it—if you show them who you really are:
Own Your Backstory
Your story is your strategy.
Nobody has your past.
Nobody has your perspective.
So start there.
What have you struggled with?
What lessons changed your life?
What beliefs drive your work?
Tell those stories.
They’ll attract the people who need to hear them and repel the ones who don’t.
That’s how authority is built.
By standing for something.
Write Like You Talk
Most creators write to impress.
Your writing needs to feel like a conversation.
Write like you’d text a friend.
Like you're talking to one person...
Not trying to impress everyone.
This shift makes people feel you’re real.
When you sound human, you become relatable, memorable, and followable.
Build a Content Ritual
You don’t find your voice by thinking.
You find it by writing.
Every day you don’t post is a day you delay clarity.
Set a non-negotiable ritual.
Even if it's 30 minutes.
Same time. Same seat.
Use that space to practice.
You’re writing to find your rhythm.
Your best ideas don’t come from thinking.
They come from hitting "publish".
Niche Your Lens, Not Your Life
You don’t need to pick a narrow niche.
You need to choose a clear lens.
Take your interests: fitness, mindset, business, whatever...
And speak on them from your unique worldview.
For example:
You’re not just talking about habits—
you’re talking about how introverts can build them.
You’re not teaching marketing—
you’re teaching how burnt-out agency owners can simplify it.
Same topics.
Sharper filter.
Clarity scales louder than broad advice.
Focus in.
Finding your voice is an on-going journey.
It’s a practice. A process. A daily showing up.
But when you do the work people don’t just follow you.
They trust you.
They share you.
They buy from you.
If you’re a coach or consultant tired of spinning your wheels...
