4 Mistakes Hurting Your Brand (and How to Fix Them)

If you’re seeing no engagement, low shares, or little to no followers chances are there are a few mistakes you're making that's holding you back.

Common. But fixable.

For the past year, I’ve helped brands, creators, and founders grow.

I’ve tested thousands of strategies and spotted the same patterns every single time.

This is what happens:

You’re creating content weekly.

Trying to grow with your content, but the needle won’t budge.

Your competition?

Growing faster.

Their content?

Engaging.

Clear.

Powerful.

Yours?

Missing the mark.

Here are the 4 mistakes you are making and how to fix them:

Mistake #1: Posting Randomly

Consistency builds trust with your audience.

If you’re posting whenever you feel like it, followers don’t know when to expect you.

They move on, forgetting to check back in.

When your posts show up regularly, it sticks.

Even if it's just 3x a week, they notice.

Consistency says “I’m here for you. Always.”

Make a schedule and stick to it..

Mistake #2: Broad Topics

Broad topics try to please everyone.

But talking to everyone means pleasing no one.

When you narrow your focus, you attract the right people.

Speak to one type of person in each post.

Imagine you’re talking to a single ideal customer.

Ask yourself: what specific problem can I solve for them?

Niche content stands out in the crowd.

It’s specific, relatable, and powerful.

Mistake #3: No Hook

If your first line doesn’t grab, they scroll.

You have 3 seconds to make them stop.

An eye-catching hook is a must.

A statistic, question, or statement that pops.

Stop scrolling” is your first job.

Without it, no one sees your posts.

The stronger the hook, the higher the chance they stay.

Write each hook like it’s your only shot.

Mistake #4: No CTA

Not having a call-to action is a missed opportunity.

A post without direction won’t drive results.

Tell them what to do next—share, follow, comment.

Guide your readers.

A CTA can be subtle or bold. It needs to be clear above everything else.

Think of it as an invitation to connect or respond.

With a CTA, you move them closer to your brand.

Every post should end with a next step.

Fix these mistakes and watch your brand take off.

It only takes a few tweaks to make a difference.

Til next time,

Ken
